Description of Apilco 1 1/4-Quart Porcelain Souffle Dish

Respected worldwide, Apilco porcelain is fired at a higher temperature than customary, resulting in hard, durable products that resist chipping and cracking and can last a lifetime. Care is simple. Nonporous Apilco porcelain resists staining, and its smooth, bright surface cleans with scrub-sponge or cloth. It's also lead-, arsenic-, and cadmium-free.In classic white, with traditional souffl?-dish straight sides, ribbed exterior, and collar, this dish (7 inches in diameter by 3 inches high) is ideal for baking small souffl?s. The dish has many other uses: bake any custard, crisp, or cobbler; pack with rillettes or other p?t?; mold aspics; chill mousses. At a party or at holidays, set it out with nuts, candies, chips, pretzels, or dip. At the table, it's perfect, and elegant, for vegetables or mashed potatoes.
